If this is your first time to DC, walking around the Mall is a must- The Lincoln, Jefferson, Vietnam, and WW II Memorials, the Washington Monument, the White House, National Archives, and the Capitol Building. Just keep in mind that the distance from the Washington Monument to the Capitol is 1-1/2 miles.

It's a nightmare to drive here and another nightmare to find a parking space (it's an Asian shopping center), but if you're looking for some pho, this is the place to go.

This capital of Maryland is a quaint town which is the center of the United States Naval Academy. After exploring the town, you can visit the local favorite Mike's for a sampling of blue crabs cooked in Old Bay.
